Visiting Brixham

The English Riviera

If coming to visit us to drink & dine then why not take some extra time to explore this superbly stunning and historic fishing town.

Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and a working town, but it’s also a place where you can discover a range of fabulous things to do. There are independent idyllic shops for browsing and shopping, live music, eateries and an abundance of watersport activities amongst arts and culture.

Originally a Saxon settlement, Brixham was the landing place of William of Orange during the Glorious Revolution, and many of the town’s inhabitants, who are descendants of the Dutch army, have Dutch surnames. Many of the street names in Brixham reflect the town’s history, with some also bearing Dutch influences.

Throughout the year Brixham plays host to an array of events to cover all tastes. We have a few of our recommendations for somewhere to stay and what to do. If there is further information you require on visiting Brixham do contact us and we will endeavour to help or point you in the right direction.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
